Add Provider

The Add Provider module allows you to securely connect your Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) accounts with Socify’s platform. This integration enables automated compliance monitoring, scanning, and Browse Findings directly from your cloud environments.

Why We Need Your AWS Credentials

When integrating a cloud provider such as AWS or GCP, the platform requires specific credentials. These credentials are used strictly for:

  • Securely connecting your cloud account to Socify.

  • Authenticating and authorizing access for scanning and monitoring.

  • Fetching compliance data, evidence, and risk insights directly from your cloud environment.

  • Ensuring your credentials remain encrypted and never shared with third parties.

Steps to Add AWS Provider

A. Add AWS Provider

  1. Navigate to Add Provider

    • From the left navigation menu, select Add Provider.

    • Choose Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  2. Enter Access Key

    • In the Access Key field, enter the AWS Access Key ID.

    • This is a mandatory field.

  3. Enter Secret Key

    • In the Secret Key field, enter the AWS Secret Access Key.

    • Ensure the key pair is valid and corresponds to your AWS account.

  4. Submit Credentials

    • Click Submit to securely connect your AWS environment.

    • The platform will verify credentials and establish a secure connection.

B. Add GCP Provider

  1. Navigate to Add Provider

    • From the left navigation panel, select Add Provider.

    • Choose Google Cloud Platform (GCP) from the provider options.

  2. Enter Project ID

    • In the Project ID field, provide the GCP Project ID you wish to connect.

    • This field is mandatory and must match your active GCP project.

  3. Upload Service Account JSON

    • Click Choose File to upload the Service Account JSON key file.

    • Ensure the service account includes the viewer role.

    • These roles allow read-only access required for compliance checks and evidence extraction.

  4. Submit Credentials

    • Click Submit to securely connect your GCP environment.

    • The system will validate the Service Account JSON and confirm a secure integration.

Security Notes

  • Your AWS and GCP credentials remain encrypted at all times.

  • Credentials are never shared with any third-party services.

  • If you face issues connecting your cloud accounts, click Read the docs or contact support.

  • You can also watch the tutorial for step-by-step guidance.

Post-Integration

Once your provider (AWS or GCP) is successfully added:

  • You can launch scans directly from your connected cloud environment.

  • The platform will automatically fetch compliance data and generate Browse Findings.
